The new custom racer IRC 85 was commissioned by and built for American philanthropist Wendy Schmidt, co-founder of 11th Hour Racing. A well-known figure on the Maxi and classic circuits for over 10 years, Schmidt wanted a new large yacht that would combine both optimum performance with a heightened, more responsive racing experience.
Built by King Marine and launched in Valencia in 2020, the yacht comes rigged with Future Fibres ECsix rigging and a Southern Spars mast and boom to allow it to reach its highest racing potential.
