ECtorque delivers up to 70% weight savings by replacing traditional carbon foils with bearings. Each cable is custom engineered with the minimum fiber content and torque jacket needed to achieve the required stiffness, strength, and torque properties, ensuring no residual weight.

ECtorque features tightly packed carbon rods in a round cross-section, wrapped in a custom-engineered braided cover. This design minimizes the outer diameter while providing optimal torque stiffness, resulting in significant windage savings compared to traditional carbon foils.

ECtorque offers multiple layers of safety. The individual bundles of pultruded carbon rods provide exceptional bending and articulation tolerance at the connection points to the torque tube and swivel. If the swivel or furling unit experiences a mechanical lock, ECtorque can absorb the increased torque spike without sustaining catastrophic damage—unlike monolithic torque stays, which have limited articulation and a single layer of safety.

ECtorque stays can be coiled, enabling full fabrication in the factory and efficient delivery of the finished product to customers worldwide. This ensures greater quality control, precision, and faster installation.

ECtorque stays can be fully inspected visually on-site or at Future Fibres’ facilities, following OEM recommendations adapted to the yacht’s schedule.
