With 3 boats out of 4 in both the Performance and Wally divisions sporting its composite rigging, the Loro Piana Superyacht Regatta was the surest sign to date of Future Fibres dominance in the world of Superyacht rigging. Once again, "Bomb Alley" lived up to its name with gusts of up to 35knots during the first days' racing, ensuring a lively start to this prestigious event. However, such was the level of professionalism and experience in Porto Cervo this year that the crews revelled in the exhilarating conditions. Within the Cruising Division, the addition of the first Southern Wind Shipyard Championship saw seven SWS 100s competing against each other – a spectacular sight akin to one-design racing in 100 footers!

It's less than five years since Future Fibres was the first company to supply composite rigging to a Superyacht; in this years' Loro Piana Regatta fleet, 60% of the boats were carrying Future Fibres rigging, with the Briand 32m Gliss the newest customer and the Reichel Pugh 26m My Song the most recent retrofit. Composite rigging has moved beyond being merely accepted technology to being standard issue on new Superyachts.

Future Fibres is proud to be a sponsor of the Loro Piana Regatta and congratulates Indio on a spectacular win in both the Wally and Performance divisions.
