continuous winding process

Each Future Fibres cable is formed by combining the incredible properties of PBO fibre with the simple yet undeniably reliable process of continuous winding.

This process has been developed and refined to control the placement of the fibre, ensuring equal load sharing and maximising cable life. Future Fibres has developed bespoke CNC winding technology. The PBO thread is taken from large individual spools, held at a controlled tension, and wound continuously around two titanium thimbles set to the precise length required until the desired fibre content has been achieved.
