Future Fibres pioneered this low weight fore and aft pin solution in 2001 which has subsequently been copied by all other wound PBO manufacturers.

The system uses a single pin to connect the vertical and diagonal stays at the spreader tip, removing the need for heavy tip cup and turnbuckles, which are still required with rod and discontinuous carbon rigging solutions. The fore & aft pin solution is easy to install and maintain and also has the added advantage of zero moment at the spreader tip, as well as reducing windage.
