In addition to the usual hot and sunny weather, the Future Fibres Valencia production facility has been enjoying its busiest summer since records began.
The factory has been over capacity throughout the normally quieter months of July/Aug/Sept. Driving this exceptional summer rush has been demand for our latest composite rigging product set.
Future Fibres pioneered the use of composites for lateral rigging over ten years ago, providing a technological step change from the Grand Prix rigging solution of the day, Nitronic rod. As Grand Prix race rigs start to roll out of the Future Fibres spar facility in Valencia, the design team have been busy undertaking the key development work required to take superyacht mast technology to the next level.
This is a great opportunity for this newly formed team to pool their previous experience working on many of the biggest and best projects to have been carried out over the last 15 years*.
The team is also supported by our technical partners, Persico Spa, whose design and engineering departments have a wealth of experience in the aerospace and automotive sectors. Future Fibres is pleased to announce that Seahawke Rigging in Palm Beach, Florida, is to become the latest branch of our superyacht service network.
Founder Tony Hawker has worked out of the renowned Rybovich yard for many years, however, the recent creation of his own company is coupled to the bold expansion plans of the yard, which intends to develop its sailing superyacht service and refit capabilities.
Tony has 30 year's rigging experience and whilst he has worked on boats from 10m to 65m, he has very much become a big boat specialist. He has managed refits on 56m Rosehearty, 46m Antara, 45m Mirabella 3 and 40m Genevieve to name a few and has worked on virtually the entire Perini fleet at some point over the last 20 years.
