A Significant Performance Edge
Originally developed for Loick Peyron's Open 60 trimaran Fuji Color, the anti torsion composite forestay replaces a traditional rod forestay and furling foil. A version of this product has been adopted by many Open 60' Trimarans and Monohulls and Volvo 60’s. It has also been fitted to Destination Fox Harb'r a 134' Dubois super yacht with a weight saving of 160kgs
Key advantages of Future Fibres anti torsion forestays include:
- 70% weight saving over Nitronic 50 rod.
- The stretch equivalent of Nitronic 50 rod.
- Over braided with Kevlar and impregnated with a resin system to enhance furling action.
- Produced to any length without the need for links unlike the larger sizes of Nitronic 50 rod.
- Recently fitted to Dubois Super Yacht, saving 160 kgs.
