Future Fibres entered the composite rigging market in 1997 and now enjoys a significant technical lead over other composite rigging providers. Its first rigging project was with the high profile Silk Cut of the 1997/98 Whitbread Round the World Race. Future Fibres has continued to hold its position at the top of the sport, which has pushed product development to the extreme.
Its successful formula has earned Future Fibres an excellent reputation as the composite rigging provider of choice to the Grand Prix yacht market, with Future Fibres unmatched technical experience and excellent post-sale customer support. Future Fibres’ PBO composite rigging systems are supplied to the majority of professional yacht racing teams around the world, including all of the teams in the Volvo Ocean Race and several syndicates in the last America’s Cup Regatta.
Future Fibres is a unique player in the composite rigging market with experience in building and installing superyacht stays. Future Fibres employs over 40 people and has invested in over 3,000m˛ purpose built ‘state of the art’ facilities in Valencia Spain, from where it designs and produces custom-made standing rigging, aft rigging and anti torsion forestays to meet the individual requirements of its customers across the globe.
