Future Fibres is the market leading composite standing rigging manufacturer in this rapidly expanding market. This pioneering company has developed the product in the Grand Prix race sector and is now in the process of rolling out the technology to the superyacht and broader race/cruise markets. Whilst expanding into new markets the business wants to consolidate and maintain its cutting-edge position in the Grand Prix race sector and is looking for a project manager to focus on co-ordinating ongoing projects in this sector. Specifically this role will be working with syndicates involved in Americas Cup, Volvo, French Open classes, multihulls and maxi's with an objective to ensure each project runs efficiently, to (normally tight!) timeline and ensure we provide a fully optimised, custom solution to satisfy our clients high expectations.
The successful candidate will be a dynamic individual, preferably with some engineering experience and capable of communicating effectively with professional sailors on the design/development of their rigging systems. You will be organised, efficient and ideally an experienced racing sailor with good trade connections and an understanding of the marine rigging/mast industry.
Key responsibilities
- Be the project management contact for all key Grand Prix race customers through the life of the project from confirmation to installation and sea trails
- Liaise between customer, sales, scheduling, engineering and external suppliers to finalise design / specification and ensure delivery of a top quality, fully optimised solution, on time and on budget
- Liaise between customer, engineering and sales departments to ensure continued development of our grand prix race products to satisfy client expectations and maintain our market leading position
Qualities
- Energetic, dynamic, organised and efficient
- Design / engineering, marine industry background
- Experienced sailor
- Previous project management experience
- Computer Literate (inc CAD)
- Based Valencia - Spanish an advantage but not essential
- Willing to travel
- Preferably EU passport
