Dave Barnaby

A naval architect by training, Dave has specialized in mast design, working for most of the successful race teams during his career to date. Dave´s track record counts the design of 10 x Open 60 masts, multiple masts through 2 America´s Cup cycles and both VO70 rigs for Team ABN AMRO. Superyachts include Mari-Cha 3 and Silvertip, a Dubois 111. Dave is no stranger either to the multi-hull circuit, having designed the masts for maxi catamaran PlayStation and recently the Oman trimaran.

Bruce Thompson

Building on a long relationship with Bruce, it is only a natural to include him into our team. Bruce has been at the forefront of mast design for 20+ years and was chief mast designer for BMW Oracle until 2007. Bruce will team up with David Barnaby in the initial design stages, overseeing the composite engineering and rig geometry. We see this partnership as a formidable resource, well capable of taking rig design to the next level.

Tim Meldrum

Tim's' specialty is components, booms and systems. As a composite designer he has been involved in projects ranging from Volvo 70's, America's Cup yachts, Open 60's, TP52's and various maxi and superyachts. Tim brings a wealth of experience and having worked alongside David Barnaby on several projects in the past, makes this a very strong team.
