Skippered with his nine person crew, Groupama 3 set two new records in 2007. In July 2008 he broke the outright 24 hour distance record, travelling a total of 794 nautical miles in 24 hours. During the same record attempt, Groupama 3 also broke the New York to the LIZARD transatlantic record, covering the distance in less than four days and four hours.
