Future Fibres ThermoSet Carbon (TSC) is the culmination of 12 years of development, optimising fibre performance through the process of continuous winding, together with the latest in thermoset (epoxy) resin technology.
TSC is made from a higher modulus carbon than the industry standard T800 which provides, for the first time, a weight and diameter advantage over PBO and making it the smallest, lightest product available on the market today. However, the material still falls within the Intermediate Modulus limit of 320Gpa which is considered suitable for structural applications, due to its high break strength and resistance to impact.
Pre-preg carbon tow is wound around Titanium spools, in the same way as our traditional dry fibre construction, it is then taped, to consolidate it, cured and finished.
